The Lost Age Djinn Guide


Venus Djinn

Echo - Attack with a double strike: You get this Djinni right when you leave Daila. Actually, about 10 minutes after, since he must explain to you how to use Djinn. Note: he will have a demonstration battle, in which he moves the pointer around ~very~ ~very~ slowly. Oh yes, he's a freebie, you've already suffered enough.
Iron - Bolster the party's Defense: Run around the forest that's under Madra(as in south of Madra).
Steel - Siphon a foe's HP with a kiss: He's in the Gabomba statue. After talking with the Witch Doctor, go back into the statue via the tongue. Head into the main room with the doors that are on both the left and right side of the room. Look for two vertical red gears that are next to each other. Jump on the LEFT one, and fall down to the next floor. You will be right next to this Djinni that you must battle to aquire.
Flower - Refresh allies and restore HP: He's in Taopo swamp, you'll need whirlwind to use on the bush blocking the way. I'm pretty sure you have to battle this guy.
Mud - Slow a foe with sticky mud: After getting the Cyclone chip, go back to the gabomba catacombs and use cyclone on the weeds to reveal and undergroud cave. One of the areas with weeds has a cyclone pit that will lead you to the djinni. Defeat it and get it.
Meld - Launch a powerful team strike: When you complete the trading sequence, go to the Islet cave, you can solve a log-floating puzzle to reach this djinni. Battle it and get it.
Petra - Turn a foe to stone: Go to Hesperia, and sail on the river that's on the southeastern side. Keep going until you see a small bit of land in between to mountains, with a bridge going from it. Keep going until you pass the mountain on the LEFT of the spit of land, and run around the forest there. You should encounter and battle Petra there to get him.
Salt - Restore allies' status to normal: When you enter Contigo, there is an odd formation of grass, with a square in the middle without any grass. Use scoop on it to reveal Salt!
Geode - Strike with a clod of earth: At the Atteka inlet, you cast lift on the boulder, and use cyclone to reveal this freebie.
Mold - Strike a foe: When you're in Prox, go up into the frozen river, and slide around until you hit a Venus Djinni. You will knock him back, and you have to use scoop on the snowpile to get this freebie.
Crystal - Restore HP to all allies: Go to Yampi desert, and climb the highest sandfall. You will find an entrance that you will need teleport to get further in. The Teleport Lapis is in the Mars Lighthouse. You will find lumps of sand moving around the cave, and there you try to snag the djinni with scoop.

Mars Djinn

Cannon - Strike with the power of Mars: You have to fall in countless holes in the Dehkan Plateu. You also have to fall in the correct holes to get this Djinni. Oh yeah you gotta battle him too.
Spark - Revive an ally with cheers of support: In Mikasalla, go to the southwestern part of the "town," and there should be an area where a sheep and a chicken are walking around. Use scoop in that area(if it doesn't work at first keep trying), and climb down the ladder that you uncovered. Go through the cave and on the other side, there is some money and a free Djinni!
Kindle - Increase all allies' Attack: Go through Gondowan Cliffs until you reach the tightrope. Start climbing vines up the cliffs and you should see a Mars Djinni. You have to climb around a little to get to him, but it's not too hard. After defeating him you get the Mars Djinni Kindle!
Char - Paralyze foes with a strong blow: After getting the HEALING fungus(not laughing fungus), go to the two story building in Madra. There you can trade the healing fungus for Char. You don't have to battle him this time
Coal - Rally your allies to boost agility: Give the Dancing Idol you got at Gaia rock to Lady Uzume in Izumo, she will then give you Coal for free!
Reflux - Counter an enemy's attack: In the Tundaria tower, you'll find 3 staircases, and the middle one is the one you want. Drop down and move in these directions across the ice, in order: Left, up, right, up, left, down, right, up, right, and knock him over, and follow him to battle and aquire Reflux!
Fury - Call wandering souls to attack: In magma rock, Fury is on a ledge that you can only get to when you get rid of the lava. Battle Fury to get him.
Core - Strike through an enemy's Defense: Go to the northwestern part of Atteka. Jump off your boat at the beach there. Go south a bit until you find a "peninsula" you'll kind of notice how the river surrounds it on three sides. Anyways, find the small gap in between the forests. It's a small line, but you'll see it. Run around there and encouter Core. Battle to get this djinni.
Tinder - Revive a downed ally: At the Hesperia settlement, go and use growth on a vine to get up to where the big crate is. Push it down the gap most to the left. Climb down and push it off the cliff to the right. Then go down more and move the crate to the center of the gap. Jump across the crate to get to the djinni, the free djinni.
Shine - Dazzle foes and strike decisively: Use force on the tree stump behind the Contigo Inn. To get force, you have to have your GS1 data transfered, with force on it.
Fugue - Fatigue your foes to drop their PP: After "rekindling" the lighthouse by putting the mars star in the dragon's mouth, use retreat and use blaze on the torch near the dragon. Aim it towards the dragon's torch and cause the dragon to send out a fireball and crack the ice. Use burst on the ice and break it open. You reveal a door, which you might want to go through to get to the djinni. You have to battle him to get him.

Jupiter Djinn

Breath - Restore HP quickly: After saving Riki and Tavi in the Shrine of the Sea God, continue through the cave and chase the Djinni around. When he climbs up on that square ledge, push the torch in the little gap and then go chase him, and battle him, to get him, to use him.
Blitz - Numb a foe with a lightning strike: You'll need pound for this. Um... basically in Yampi Desert, you use pound in a pillar puzzle. After a few tries you will get it. Anyways, you climb up on the ledge in the center of the area, and you battle this Djinni.
Ether - Focus will to restore PP: After completing Air's Rock talk to Master Maha, and you will have a long talk about werewolves, psynergy... etc. After the talk, he gives you the freebie Djinni Ether!
Waft - Calm a foe with soothing scents: After Piers permanently joins your party, go back to the Kibombo mountains and freeze the puddle that's near the big staircase. Then use it to jump to a new platform and use growth (1 venus and one mars djinn on someone will give you this psynergy) on the vine to climb up to this Djinni. This one you have to battle to obtain.
Haze - Hide away to avoid damage: Use your sand psynergy(obtained at gaia rock) on the beach at the Apojii islands, and head east. Wade in the shallow water, until you reach the next screen. go to the most south point of the shallow water as possible, and press down. You will slide down the waterfall onto a ledge. Now head into the waterfall. Go up and use whirlwind on the top right patch of leaves. Go through the opening and walk through the cave and out through the next door. You will be right next to the freebie Haze! To get back, go back to the room that had all the leaves, but go to the southeast corner. Go through the opening and use lash on the rope and you're back up.
Wheeze - Poison a foe as you strike: When you get to Tundaria Tower, head southeast, and run around a blue patch and encounter him in a battle. Obviously, you have to battle him to aquire him.
Lull - Negotiate a temporary cease-fire: After finding the magma ball in magma rock, use it on the cannon in Loho. To do this, press a when facing the cannon, and after the text is gone, the menu will pop up. Find the magma ball in your inventory and press a on the "use" option. You will load the cannon with the magma ball, and the wall will crumble. go through and climb up the vine there, and jump over to the sanctum roof, and recieve the free djinni!
Aroma - Restore everyone's PP: When you enter Shaman Village, there will be two bridges you can cross. Go on the one to the right and head inside the first building there. Go upstairs and out the door. Go to the right and into the next screen. Use move on the pillar to move it to the left, it will fall down. Get back to the ground and go to the northwest corner of the town. Head into Moapa's house, the house with the guards, and go to the bottom level. Head out the door and use lash on the rope. Climb up and walk on the cliff to the next screen. Jump over to the next ledge via the pillar and recieve the freebie Aroma!
Whorl - Take a deep breath and strike: In the Jupiter Lighthouse, you'll find a room with hover platforms and two holes. Use hover to get over to some of the platforms and push the blocks down, and move them into their correct spots. Then use hover to get over to Whorl! (not for free though)
Gasp - Call the grim reaper on your foes: After having Isaac and co. join your party, and getting the hover jade, go to trial road and travel up the left side. Use hover on the hover platform that's near the battling platform. Go in and use lift on the bould and climb down the staircase, and out the opening. There will be a djinni that will always be at the opposite side of the pool as you. Go to the bottom of it, and use Reveal to show a platform, allowing you to jump over the pond and get the free djinni!
Gale - Blast enemies with a wind strike: When Isaac and party join your group, go to treasure isle. Use grind on those rocks sticking out of the ground to get past. You will reach a room with boulders. There are three gaps, and you want to use your lift spell (comes with Isaac and co.) on the boulder in the middle gap. Go further up and up the ladder. Jump to the ledge on your left, and walk on the rope. You will see the djinni which will run away, but will get stuck with the boulder in the way. Battle it and recieve Gale!

Mercury Djinn

Fog - Blind an enemy with fog: After getting Lash in the Kandorean Temple, go back to the room with the pot, and move it out of your way, head down the latter and down some stairs. Now head towards the blue Djinni on the cliff and use lash on the rope to reach Fog. By the way, you have to battle him to get him.
Sour - Reduce foe's resistace: When you reach Mikasalla, head north of the town until you are in a dead end in the mountains. Run around there on the patch and you should encounter him in a random battle.
Chill - Strike to reduce a foe's defense: Go to Naribwe and head south to the very tip of Gondowan. If you run around in that area, you'll eventually find this djinni. Defeat it in a battle, and Chill's yours.
Spring - Restore HP with healing herbs: Piers has this freebie with him so you just saved yourself lotsa time!
Shade - Create a watery shield(butt saver): Another freebie from Piers.
Steam - Increase allies' Elemental strength: In Aqua rock, he'll be where a waterfall used to be. Defeat him and he's yours.
Gel - Weaken foe's Attack: Go to the island near Angara called "Kalt Island" and skate up to the ladder on the frozen river. Use lash to get up to this free djinni.
Eddy - Speed up Djinn recovery time (Eddy is actually something that has to do with water): Eddy is in the Shaman Village cave. Go through the middle door and lift the rock on the right. Go around and lift the one next to it. Then lift the far left boulder, and use frost on the puddle. Go up the ladder and across the ice pillar. Trap the djinni and win it in a battle.
Rime - Seal a foe's Psynergy: Go to Lemuria and enter. In the cave where you dock your boat, head left in the cave as much as you can, and you'll find a place where you want to use Cyclone on a patch of grass to reveal him. Then use your Tremor spell on the statue to reach him and recieve him.
Balm - Revive all downed allies: In Mars Lighthouse, you'll have to ice skate to get him.
Serac - Strike a chilling finishing blow: When you are in the islet cave (teleport needed and trade sequence is needed to even reach the cave) and in the long, annoying hallway, you'll eventually reach a shaking statue. Use Tremor right next to it, and the djinni will pop out. You'll have to battle him.


HUGE NOTE: This Djinn guide, you might have noticed, has a similarity to many other site's djinn guides. The reason for this is that I have used the exact phrase for the djinn's unleash description on the site as it is in the game. As in, the unleash of the Mars Djinn Cannon says in the game:"Strike with the power of Mars" and so I put that down in the guide. That way, I won't give out any false information.
